Description
While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
The work is a digital depiction of golgotha, which means the skull, where Jesus Christ was crucified. The red is for the blood that was shed and the darkness of the work depicts what the scriptures say "It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining, and the curtain of the temple was torn in two" (Luke 23:44-45). He was hung between two criminals and that accounts for the other two crosses.
The cross is empty because He has risen, He has risen indeed !
