I have had an interest in art ever since I was eight years old when I won our 3rd grade art contest at school. I had no formal training until I got to college. However, art lost out to my love of sports. I settled for a B.S. degree in teaching with a major in Physical Education and a minor in art at Murray State University. Then I went on to get an Associate of Science degree in Data Processing and Computer Programming from the University of Kentucky. Go Blue !

Well, that was all over 30 years ago and other than helping my kids through the years with their school art projects I have not been very creative. I feel like God has given us all talents and abilities in certain areas and that we should try to use and exercise those talents. Life has a way of placing demands on your time and creative efforts. Living in Michigan and not having any real interest in outside winter sports I suddenly started feeling like I needed to revive that creative spirit within me and do some painting. Since I am not retired yet I was looking for something to get myself back into the creative mode without having to spend a lot of time doing it. That is when I happened to come across a video on spray paint art. I just started doing this around February of 2011. I also have an interest in photography, oil painting and I am learning how to do digital art. Time will tell but for now here is my work in progress. I hope to keep adding to it and get better as I go.
